Somehow I've completely missed this thread - that is fantastic. The stance, the louvres, even the chassis reinforcement is great art 8-)

Hope to see it in September!

Hi Everybody
Latest news is the engine is back in the car for last time :D
I went over yesterday evening to do a few jobs, i managed to get the steering column in and connected up to the steering box, there's not alot of room between the starter and the bottom of the column, so will probably have some sort of shield just to be safe
I also got the alternator fitted, i did some searching and found a nice low down bracket assembly, i was going to have the brackets copied and remade in steel, but time and money is against me so i might just leave it alone for now.
Next job for me is to run the loom around the car, the front light have been modified to take side lights, the rears to take dual elements, i'm meeting Tim P next week to pick up the finished Len's 8-)
The dash has been wired so it'll light up the gauges, the custom speedo cable is back so it won't be to long before the dash is in and finished :D
And after all that we can fire the Bananarama! :D

Hi Allkiller
That tee shirt is spot on :thumbright: does it still fit you ;)
Right ho, i've been off this week so i managed to get over in the daytime to put in some time to try and get ahead with a few things, i've got the fuse board in and the loom sent around the car, the engine and front light assembly, coil and alt are ready to end, also mounted are the gauge pods, they've been on the shed roof for a few months slowly rusting :)
I gapped the plugs made off the HT leads, bolted on the headers, i fitted the rear lights, that was quite a job as i wasn't to sure if the deep dish would need to be modified to fit, as there's a tube that joins the rear chassis rails together right where the lights sit, but they fit perfectly which was a huge relief, hopefully over the next few weeks will see the glass in, the rad pipes fitted all the fluids in and maybe just maybe the engine fired up :thumbright:

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick update, the wiring loom is 95% complete just a last few jobs to do, those jobs should be done this week, myself and Steve (MCK) have been going over as much as possibly in the evenings, Steve wasn't happy with the loom having its power running through the switches, so the loom now has relays for the lights, horn and fuel pump, without Steve helping i'd be stuffed no doubt about it.
The rad pipe are still to be done, so firing the car is still a few weeks away, but the rear lens's are back from Tim P and they are a work of art, he really pushed the boat out and for that i thank him =D>
Next update and more pic's in a week or two :thumbright:

Thanks for the comments :thumbright:
I have to say a big thanks to MCK for helping out with the car, i'd still be dicking around with it if it wasn't for his help.
The work on the car is zooming along, the loom has had power put through it and apart from a dud rear bulb  which had us looking for a bad earth for a short while :x
All the lights have been tested, TimP's rear lenses look the dogs, the front lights having old style bulbs in and having thick lenses have a kind of low mean and moody yellow look to them, the early English bullit side lights that i'm using for indicators also look like they belong on this car and complete the set 8-)
A couple of new bits added is the volt gauge, now mounted as is the 1940's rear veiw mirror, i've also fitted forward facing oil and water gauges in the firewall, i can't begin to tell everyone how exited i am and my boy is doing back flips as well, i took him over to have some new picture with him and his car, as he's been begging me to take him over.
The rad pipes are fully welded and are waiting to have some brackets put on, so by the end of next week [-o< could see the fluids put in, just a few little jobs to do before fire up.
The end is nearly in sight :D

Here's one I took while we were there. Just one more visit and we should have the electrics nailed :)

And it's been a pleasure RT, all part of learning how to build cars!

8-) MCK
Seems everybody takes better pic's than me
Here's a few more pictures, i had to wait for the missis to get them off the camera,
They show the rad pipes back in place, waiting for the brackets to be tacked on, the pipes twist and turn a bit to miss the pulleys, damper and oil filter, and just enough space to change the fan belt if it needs to be done.
I've included two pictures of my boy, one from the start of the build and one from Sat, kids grow up so fast don't they
Next update in a week or two :thumbright:
