hi stall converter went in and new gearbox and engine mountings, after a few hours of struggling a rang kiwi to find out how to fit the headman headers he sold me, they fitted fine once i removed the left hand mounting through bolt and jacked the engine up.took them back off to spray them. fitted a high torque mini starter(also from kiwi) and cranked the engine i have good compression on all cylinders looking good.i will remote wire the starter to a cotten reel block on the n/s inner wing if i have to remove the starter it will be easier not having to remove the wiring from the soleniod.

come on guys a video of the engine firing up that would be just self indulgent and showing off, OK here it is then. smoke is from the newly painted headers and the rattle is the header flanges, and before u take the pee! yes its abba in the background on the radio honestly!!

when you have watched the video check out my other video's my old car 56 belair i took part in the burnout comp at the nats a few years ago, and one a top 10 award.

the roadrunner could be in the burnout comp next year!!!

ran it a few more times today open headers so it was bit noisey, great news is the engine sounds sweet, and the gearbox has all the gears.plumbed an oil cooler behind the radiator and and electric fan in front of it.a prop-shaft loop was already fitted unfortunately its too low and is scraping the prop so it will have to be modified.
