thanks paul :thumbright:
Far be it from me to rain on your parade, but that kit ain't gonna 'Cut the Mustard'

I did months of research on 727's, speaking to Vendors, High Horsepower owners running 727's.

Without question High Horsepower 727's are out there, but their bleedin expensive ($7,500 inc Convert) & need constant maintenance.

Speak to Dunc, hes built more gearboxes, than I ever have, 2,000Hp through a 727 is asking loads & some . . .

If I were you, I would seriously reconsider your choice of box

Just my 2 Cents as they say. Mark . . .

I think you could be right Mark (on Jerry's account!) and I'm sure Duncan or Blue would confirm that 2000hp has to be way over for a Torqueflite...would a glide be a better bet? if so Mister Benn's got a brand new Mopar/Glide adaptor plate hanging on his wall looking for a new home! ;)
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

Forget it with a 727. Turbo 400 seems to be the way they are going in the States at the moment. Budget for about 4 grand for one to handle that sort of hp.

well looks like that idea is out of the window

at most will be looking around 1500hp,

the world products block is gm/mopar bolt pattern on rear so no problem there for interchange.

thanks paul.

Paul, I'd have thought on a car like that you'd have wanted a manual trans??

car is set up for auto, so would need pedal box, also finding a manual trans that would cope, plus clutch that wont slip and not heavy for normal driving, finding a suitable flywheel or having one made, gearbox to eng adaptor or bellhousing, looking around 6-8 grand

dont know if the viper tremec would do, will have to find some info on it, i know there is a bellhousing to go on the rb block.

thanks paul.

Not trying to do Duncan out of a sale here but you can't use that type of lenco on the street really not designed for down shifting and no real neutral, at some point I will be using jim's old st1200 lenco on the street but don't expect that to be great either and thats designed for street use, just my 2 cents fwiw

managed to get a few hours on my car this weekend, was not happy with the magnumforce motor mount, looked to be putting the engine too high could hardly get fingers between bellhousing and bulkhead, so have lowered front of engine, now when you look through the hole through the crank and geabox casing you can see the diff flange , where as before the box seemed to be fancing downward?

The box should be facing downward. Not directly at the diff. The diff should be facing slightly up when under load. Not pointing directly at the trans output.

While it is possible to run at zero degrees through the U-joints, something more than one degree and less than three degrees seems to run smoothest. But you must have the same angle at each end under load from the engine.
