'Read it and weep' Crikey! News to me MMA were running a competition in 1988 'Paint your car Amalfi blue and you'll win a prize' If I'd known I'd have bought the car 25 years ago and done it then! Do I get second prize for having the first Charger in amalfi blue? Nice colour though, look good with the white decals.

Colour in the photo looks very close to my LL1 charger. I'm liking the bumble bee stripes, I've got a set of white stripes still in the box but couldn't make up my mind whether to put them on. Now I've seen yours I think I'm getting the urge and may put them on ready for next summer

Aye they set the car off well, not a nice job though, the lad who did the painting put them on with me working the water sprayer,a far cry from putting the roundel transfers on a airfix spitfire!

are the stripes a bit of a pain to put on? Have you any advice or tips on putting the stripes on? Knowing my luck I'll get it wrong, try to remove them and pull half my paint off in the process.

I'd never put them on before but the way we did it was on a dry run mark where they had to go with bits of masking tape on the body/boot edges, keep the paintwork wet all the time with one of those plant water sprayers until you're happy with their position and the air bubbles were taken out with a brand new bodge speader,I'd say deffo a two man job,if you make a mess of it I think they come off easy with the use of a hairdryer/heat gun,go canny and good luck!

Thank you for the advice, did you use plain water or soapy water?

People do use soapy water, but. You can get an application fluid that does work better....

The best way is to put them on dry, but as someone that has not done it before, it can be a nightmare.

You can mark it all out in stabilo pencil. when it is all dry that will come off with some meths.

Take your time and it will be fine... Or be a man and paint them on!
I am keeping this Mopar....... SOLD!
