Right here is an update !!! we managed to get a profile for the wheel arch after putting the rear wing on and off several times as you do and Scott got busy with my MiG and welded it up but we were distracted by the offer of a roast dinner !!! so we downed tools and filled our bellies !!!! more tomorrow !!
another few pictures for you guys , the quarter is halfway welded on !!!! Scott was doing his thing and I was keeping tabs on him to make sure he did not get fed up and on his toes !!this was done today
Update I have now bare metaled just about all the car what a job !!!!!! done it all with flap disc's on the angle grinder, waiting for Scott to get some filler on , he won't let me do it he said ( must have seen my other efforts ! ) done some shopping !! block sander about 18" long and various other bits that you need, been doing all the other little bits that are hard to get at ,also had to do some quotes for jobs that have come up and starting one next week should take 3 days , found bits and pieces that will have to be repaired but not that much rot just the usual in the front edge of the doors and some rust in the rear valence , not bad when you think that it has been here all its life from new that's it for now must go and do some more work will post a few pics later
much horrid bit was doing the heater grill vent bits , lots of small bits of sandpaper and a small file later all the paint is of , next is the boot lid area lots of nooks and crannies !!
On the contrary John, you and Scott have made big steps and the rest of the tin work looks good, keep it up and you will be picking up another one of "Budgies prizes" at the Nats.
I am going to lend Scott my wheels that I won and put my wolfrace ones on ,note I said LEND , perhaps I might find one for a spare unless anyone has a 14" 4.5 pcd steel that I can buy from them ????
