New wheels
Hi guys. I'm looking to buy some new wheels for my '74 satellite I would love some torque thrusts but just can't afford 'em so I'm looking at these, as it is I won't be able to buy them all at once http://www.raceways.co.uk/Cragar_397_Bl ... _wheel.htm opinions please. Also size wise I'm looking at 15x7 at the front and 15x 8 at the back with 235's and 275's respectively sound ok ? lastly what is my options shopwise for wheels ? I've found raceways and northants tyres, is there anyone else out there ?

Northants Tyres have had both good and bad reviews
Try Sinton Tyres
http://www.sintontyres.co.uk/
They do a good range of tyres, if you want raised white letters RWL you can get Cooper Cobra's from them about £75 each.Free delivery
They also do BF Goodrich, which is the more traditional muscle car tyre. Sinton do these but also try Northants for these as they are technically the UK distributor.

i've had wheels, tyres and lug nuts, etc. off Raceways, no probs, great service
heard bad things about Northants, but i have bought a couple of rims off them last year, but all they had to do was take my money and send me 2 rims off the shelf so there wasn't really a lot to go wrong

"Nah!"
Those Soft 8's are the wheel of choice for Jeep Wranglers, but not for your Satellite, IMHO. What about some plain black steel wheels? With or without "cop" hubcaps. I got some used 15x8 steelies off a Ram pick up for my old Satellite. Think I paid £100 for the set.

Adam, I've got steelies and dogdishes at the moment though only 14's. and would love a set of 15's. Even a pair for the rear would be good, but they don't seem to come up for sale very often. Anyone out there got some? If I go for the black windows I'll probably go for the summit route, seems to make senseAdam wrote:Those Soft 8's are the wheel of choice for Jeep Wranglers, but not for your Satellite, IMHO. Ok starting this thread really did me a favour, as I realised I was going for the black cragar wheels as they were cheap, not because I really liked 'em
. So I going to combine suggestions. firstly I'm going to save some pennies, might involve going without food but hey-ho wheels are important
they when readies are saved look around for some in the states and ship them back via Ron's container.
