No long gone, computers crashed a couple of times & had to reload O/S, phones have been changed no's not always carried over on sim card. Must try to get back in the habit of keeping an address & numbers book.

Yep this is a VK, lives Epping way.aussie pete wrote:There is a guy down London way owns a pink one (no rear seat), not a member but owned it for years (can`t remember his name), and i own 2 (one red, one black)
Eleanor owns a dark blue one in Luton, MGJ21L. This is not the blue one with the CH front. That is LMH7K.
Another dark blue one witha 340 (not an E55) is around, usedf to belong to Ian Spencer who sold it to a trader recently. BKU100L I think but may be wrong.
I will check the register properly soon.

I like the way you are thinking Steve.
So many of 'em around some people even got 2!
Any ideas on how many Chargers were officially imported? All Aussie Val official import numbers would be interesting.... Always wondered how many VG's etc were here.
Wonder if the figures were ever known in the days of the old "Aussie Charger" club.

May 1989 Custom car article states "Less than 350 Australian Chryslers are known to have been imported into the UK" I think the figure is probably higher than that & the figure that sticks in my mind for Chargers VH,VJ,VK, is 203 plus a handful of personal imports
http://www.rootes-chrysler.co.uk/aussie-chry.html link for rootes data base which bears out the 350 imported figure.
If not to large will post a scan of article.
