i'd be using copper sheathed 2 core for the pickup wires then...

anything over a foot and the signal gets splurged by interferance from ya coil

This is a mounting suggestion for the orange box Dave not the coil.
Most wires to and from the coil and orange box & regulator are wrapped in a factory 'loom' - I was mearly suggesting just a little extra length of wire is all that will be required by moving the box from the outside to the inside.
I have my MSD box mounted inside (on the heater box), and the SS coil mounted all the way at the front of the inner fender. No issues yet, just 'stepped up' any extra length of wire needed.
This ain't no Carlos Fandango computered up to the hilt EMP resistant Eurofigher me ol mucka!
