Wil,
What does the EOS do,? if its a cam break in lube would you pour that in a new motor ??
Im confused.,,,, I thought that would accelerate wear on a tight engine, and hinder the rings sealing and bearings bedding in.
Am I wrong.

On the bottle (i have it) it refers to EOS as assembley lubricant. Intended to reduce run in wear and pston scuff etc.

The GM EOS has been highly recommended by Don, now he's a Mopar guy so recommending anything GM must hurt but he does
If i sell a Racer Brown camshaft there is absolutly no warranty unless EOS is in there.
Apparently new oils have certain additives missing one being lead and there are others but i don't remember DOH, I'm not saying that you'd want the stuff all over you every oil change but for engine/cam break in.

I have also been advised to use mineral oil on the first run. When the engine has been run in, you can then change it for semi / full synthetic.

Full synthetic won't let the piston rings bed in cos it's so slippery. Same as putting some old tosh like Slick50 in.
