Hi guys, I've just joined so thought I'd say hello. My Mopar - a '66 Dodge Polara 383ci 2dr hardtop - is still in California, waiting to be shipped over, so at least another 6 weeks wait
Here's a couple of shots - all very original - but should I leave it that way?
Although the wait is frustrating I've been keeping busy browsing the forums and planning some upgrades I already know I need (or want) to do, which is kinda fun in itself. Then, what do I stumble across this morning, nothing less than my old '72 Charger...what a pleasant surprise! Seems to be in the capable hands of 'Scooby' now and certainly looks a little different to when it was mine in the early 90's....
howdy matey and welcome to the club,
keep your mtr as a stocker looking maybe a set off wheels anf hot the mtr up,
your old charger went through a change of life with our miserable x club photographer dave mcbride he got the racing bug via thong wearing kev taxi driver it ended up running pretty quick with all its lardy arsed weight and a little old 318
The Charger then lived near me in Chadwell Heath (before I moved over here) owned by a DJ called Markie, then went to it's present owner, Happy days when Dave owned it, we began a power struggle, but his car's lardiness failed him!!! Still remember welding the floor up after the prop vanished when he was chasing a Porsche........What's that prop loop hanging on yer wall, Dave???? "I meant to fit it, but......"
Welcome aboard, nice Polara!

The name is Kev, nowadays known as Kevvy or Pommie C***!

For me leave it as it is its not broke
I'll try and convince myself I'm cruising through the streets of LA this summer...when I'm navigating speed humps, potholes and traffic islands down the streets of south east London
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I think I will leave it original - it's what most of you are saying and the previous owner was hoping I wouldn't hot-rod it (as he put it). I must admit though, I am tempted by the Magnum 500 wheels - maybe a 15" set - they look so good on c-body cars.
One thing I will do though is upgrade to a dual chamber master cylinder - I've been researching that - mainly for safety's sake.
