Wiper seals fix

Post by Ian Z »

Never seem to get time to work on car, but thought I'd fix the cowl leak that I'd been putting off for years.
Why is is that the simplest of jobs escalate?

Dont post much of use up here, so thought I'd share a few pics.

With a special thanks to Dave Moparnutterz for his blasting, sealing, prepping and painting of a very furry and rusty dash frame.

Finished in black suede with paint suplied from the guys recommended from my recent 'ask' post.

When taking it from car to garage, my missus accused me of shelling out big money for new car stuff again.

Dunc, cars not seen a track for over 2 1/2 years now.
New jobs, kids, grand kids, etc.
Now got car in garage and nice big shed, cooking with gas.

Gonna head from gay to 3.91s, cupla tweaks, and praps a good price on doing up the 727...Just keeping my hand in till I built up the points to go racing.

Dash & windscreen out?! That's the way to get to those pesky wiper seals :thumbright:

Much easier than laying on your back in the footwells trying to get to them in the dark.... the words gynecolgy and letterbox spring to mind :?

Rob, at least if I have to get in there again, I will shred my skin on painted rather than rusty razors. :thumbright:
