I seem to have lost my prev post, due to not adding to it,so, I'll include a few pics just to refresh. I actually cannot remember where I last stopped posting, but it is a new year and I have enthusiasm again...

Hi Roel,

Good work going on there with the misses!
Glad to see the 72 Gtx/Runner coming together after all these years.

I saw in the pictures you have an orange Air Cleaner, I'm sure it should be black?
Guess what though, I have a black one here (72 Gtx) and would like to get an orange one for a 72 340 Runner.

Best wishes Bacca,

Hi Jules,

I think your computer is playing up?
The text seems to have got muddled up with Air cleaners and axles LOL!

By the way, it is a serious comment, as this car was owned by some good friends of mine in the past and they may have swapped the Air cleaner over to an orange-340 one by mistake?

Black-440 Air cleaners are much rarer and twice as hard to find LOL!

Best wishes Bacman.

ps, nice looking axle there Roel!!! :thumbright:

Thanks for the kind comments. yes, she does help a bit, the only time there was a bit of a moan was when we fitted and took off the rear bumper 3 times!!!
Bacca, the aircleaner is 440, I am not aware of black in '72, BUT, you might be correct. I'll find out and let you know.

Once I have completed underneath, it was off to the paint shop, I painted all inside and underneath at home.
Decided to go full colour underneath ( sorry Bacca) , only put the undercoat in certain areas. I got the undercoat from Ricks Resto
Dave, only saw the finger now, sure I missed it ;)
