Window fuzzies/seals...help!!

Post by Anonymous »

I'm in the process of restoring the interior of my 71 Charger and a lot of the inner door seals (chrome trimmed) are perished. Is it possible to remove them from the trim and DIY replace them with generic stuff available in the UK, or is the chrome trim part and parcel, and necessitates me to buy them from the US...?

I've managed to remove the trim and perished seals (together) from the upper door cards and this is where they have literally fallen apart.... :?

The outer ones will probably be as bad...I suppose 40 years isn't a bad life span.

Any advice on rubber seal suppliers etc, would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Rich

Cheers guys, I'll try those contacts. It looks like the chrome strip is indeed part and parcel, so its pointless me trying to make good of them I guess.

Actually I just came across these from Peggy at Ropcar

so I'm going to see if she can get my year as I already have $500 worth of parts coming from her already.

She's awesome on prices and customer service.
