Guys, my 66 Polara finally arrived from California a couple of weeks ago, but I had to leave it at American Autoparts in Redhill for some initial repairs. It needed new rear cylinders and shoes fitted, but also a hole in the fuel tank repairing - the hole had a screw in it and I'm pretty sure this damage was down to the shippers - piercing the tank then plugging it afterwards must be an easier way for them to drain the fuel!
It's booked in for an MOT tomorrow at somewhere that is supposed to be 'classic friendly' (don't want to have to fit amber indicators) and hopefully I'll then be able to register it in good time for some spring/summer cruisin'

Nope, unfortunately the engine bay needs some tidying up...something I've never bothered with before. The bodywork, interior and mechanical condition are good, but the engine bay and undercarriage need tidying.

My 66 Coronet is actually a 65,says on title(year first sold 65)if so could help with indicators and side lights
Thanks for the suggestion...you've obviously done the research, too!! Unfortunately my title just says 1966, though according to the fender tag the build date is 14th Dec 65. Still no good though, as needs to be prior to Sept 65.
