The Goat, May 2011 - some pics

Post by RobTwin »

First time at this monthly meet for us for about 20 years, and just like last time, a bit of everything from a 3-wheeler to an AM Zagato, and everything in between.

Not as busy as I'm sure it would have been, if there hadnt been a Classic Car show at (fairly) nearby Duxford, but at least that kept the late model Muzzies to a minimum

Nice as they looked, I dont think the red Escort & the MkI 'Lotus Cortina' were originals :-k

Escort had an 'E' badge on the C pillar as well as an RS2000 badge on the boot lid. Interior looked a bit more 'E' too (lotsa wood).
And the 'Cortina' was a Consul according to he hood insert. Didnt have the extra gauges either that I think you get with a Lotus.

Still, they looked & sounded the part 8-)

I thought the Cortinas had Consul badges early on. Maybe Budgie can enlighten us?
