Repairing plastic trunk lid spoiler

Post by Adrian Worman »

I got a nice T/A type spoiler for my Chally but its got some damage, a whack to the top edge has left a 2" long X 1/2" wide piece missing. I had the bright idea of filling the void under it with expanding foam to give it some support and stability, but what do I use to fill it with that won't fall out every time I slam the lid down? I reckon there is a filler for plastic and urethane mouldings, any one used it?
Thinking about wrapping the whole thing in carbon fibre look vinyl..............................smart or Bananarama! ?
Might do me f/glass R/T hood with it if it don't look stupid ;)

NO! NO! NO!

I dunno what happened there.

Actually, if you wanted a carbon fiber look, 3M have a very good product on the market. You would have to get it wrapped by a pro. But it works reall well. There are some clips on youtube somewhere.

You've plainly been on the wine Jeff ;)
A guy who's a customer of ours does some excellent automotive graphics and wrapping and always uses 3M products, seen some of his work and was well impressed
