Well, some of...

Had a go with that tilt-shift thingy on a few, but not quite as good as Adam's; I think it's more effective with people in the foreground

There's a whole bunch HERE, but I'll stick a few up here as a taster, tho you've prob already seen all the cars in all the other guys pics

I managed to scounge a lift from Jem on the way down to Brooklands from where we met at McD's, near J22 on the M25. Very comfortable it was too And just the right amount of noise from the 40 series Flowmasters

Not as big a turn out as the last couple of years so the clouds and iffy forcast may have kept a few away. Gary's Picnic prob didnt help either. Oh and the Enfield Pageant.... etc etc

Quality was as good as ever tho - it's not every year you get a convertible 71 hemi cuda..... 'clone' or not

Good to see Bon... sorry, Don Scott's Petty tribute too.

I spoke to this guy with the Monteverdi - he used to own/race a couple of ex Sox & Martin hemi cars in the 70's over here; didnt catch his name tho
He'd just got back from a 1500 mile trip from visiting the Monteverdi factory (now a museum) in Switzerland

Some great pics there! By what you are saying I guess the guy with the Monteverdi is Colin Mullan, he had the London heavy/ Brooklyn heavy pro stockers in the late '70's, both Sox & Martin built cars.

BTW nice work on Jem's car - it runs a treat! Hope it all pays off at the Nats

I've never met him although I'd like to, love to hear some tales about those cars. Jems six pack was just a quick set up to get it there, it runs fine if you drive it "normally" but falls flat on it's face if you mash the throttle, I'm working on it...

Thats 100% Colin Mullan, although doesn't look like him in the photo, next to the Monti, unless he's changed significantly in under a year.

Colin lost sight in one eye, 5-6 years ago, nearly lost sight in both eyes, which understandably had a complete change on his life & outlook in life.

He must of owned the Monti for 20-25 years now, always wanted to see that towing his Riviera lake boat, but as he sold that almost 18 months ago, wont ever happen now.

As Blue said, he owned both Brooklyn & London heavy, his brother John also owned a nice original Hemi Challenger, just to name a few of the cars they have owned.

Nah, Colin (now we've established that's who it was ) was in his car in that pic - he had just driven in.

He came up to me while I was checking the oil just before we left and he was asking about the max wedge. Dont think he'd seen one before so he was interested to hear it was the hemi's predecessor; that's when he mentioned the S&M hemis he used to have.

I think the blue 65 Coronet is the one that was imported by Stuart Vallance over 20 years ago. At the time it was a genuine one lady owner car with about 37k miles on it. She traded it in for a new car in about 1987. It looks even better now.

Stuart was saying that Pete Webb had something to do with that Coronet during its early years over here.... hopefully Pete will chip in with some more info....
