Don't give him all my plans Dave, he'll only go out and beat me :pirate:

I can see our cars will be doing battle in the coming years, I only hope my suspension mods can tip the balance :boxing:

Nothing wrong with healthy competition James.

Now. Plug the heads and cam change into the desktop dyno. Run it on open headers.

Compare the difference!

You would need a 3,000 rpm stall convertor and 4.10:1 rear gears (at least) to make this baby run but run she will! Plus it is a totally streetable package.

Cam would be Hughes HEH 3742 AL which has 237/242 duration and 0.548/0.555 inch valve lift. This is the more modern version of the cam I have in my 440 and I like it a lot.

So what would that set up cost me, and what BHP etc would I be looking at ?

Err. Hello?

You can see the graph I posted above? Yes? The red line? That one is power or HP or BHP if you like. The green line is torque.

In the table the first two columns are the BHP (power) and Torque at each rpm.

Why not go to that Hughes Engines web site I gave you the link to and price all the bits up? They do everything you would need to build this engine.
Then add about ?2K to the cost for machine work, labor and all the other bits and pieces that add to what I term the hidden costs.

For example roller tip rockers, valve springs and retainers, bearings, gaskets, a carb, fuel line, fittings etc etc. It all adds up.
