i see what your saying lez, but the main thing that got you that 9 was the gas,
i do know the duster is light so maybe should be in the 9,s but the bulk off stroker mtrs over here are in heavy cars and try to do it on 10.5tires stock rear ends etc
Dunc , it takes some doin to run into the 9s NA with a heavy car like the chally , 3800lb? , let alone you running 9.4s @ 148mph circa 900hp  , i can't see how a 2500lb car would have any problems running high 9s , FFS the motor only has to make around 480hp :D ;) , no problem with a little fettleing here & there & a solid/roller cam , bottle feed it & mid nines shouldn't be an issue with 10.5 tyres & stock springs.............................SHOULDN'T NEED THE SQUEEZE with a featherweight car. :D ....these A bods don't know how easy they got it.

AKA Brutus.
yes your right brutus, the bottle fed mtrs can always pull it back at the big end with that nos still making power,
unless someone has really dialed in there mtr /car 100% an all mtr is gonna struggle to run 9,s i am not after a pissin competition but lez 10.7 mtr might as well be a 12.0 its that far from a 9 in real terms, we know how much r@d it takes to get that last little bit out off these cars we just dont really get the track time unless your willing to do a few webster day or similar,

well if it is and prob ally heads another example off presumably a 440 can not cut it to run the nos///9,s, unless like you said it weighs 2,500 or Bananarama! with gas...

Talking of the quarter mile times, the quickest is your Challenger at 8.910 Duncan. What have you done in that funny little white car you've got?

that funny little car is a AMX sweet muscle car that i think i would take over any mopar if it was about $$$$$$$$$$$ versus what car you got for them $$$$$$
its packed full of sweet 572 hemi
and has gone 8.60........... 164 mph with traction issues
the mph is indicative of a low 8 sec pass, thats when you know you have some left in the bag...........

Dunc, chill out mate......your telling me I would'nt have run a 9 with that set up on mtr, AND I'M AGREEING WITH YOU, what part of that don't you understand, so comments about 10.7 might well have been 12.0 etc., are a bit off the mark.....

I had the track time in competition and RWYB's if required, I would've been prepared to work at it tuning some more with what I had, to get the best from it (Without Gas), which I think could've been 10.5's, there's always a bit left in there if look for it, always!

Anything better than 10.5's and it was more carb, comp, lighter pistons/rods/cam, and maybe a look at the heads to see if more flow was available, so don't you think all that depending on how far I pushed things was worth another 3-4ths then...which brings it to 10.1-2......
we all know how hard it is to get those 1/0ths off at this level, thats why I'm making sensible predictions, which is all they are based on my knowledge of engines/Racing and the car I drove.

Hope you got my drift this time :)
