Bug Jam Completely Sold Out

Post by TyreFryer »

I got an email through from Santa Pod on Friday telling everybody who wasn't already there, not to turn up even if you bought a ticket in advance! Glad they've got an extra weekend to clear up before the NATs.

Santa Pod Raceway VW News - 22/07/2011

BUG JAM 25 IS SOLD OUT

Santa Pod Raceway would like to make the following official statement:

Our venue is now completely full and we are left with no alternative but to close the festival to all additional visitors including those who may already have booked tickets in advance.

This is not a decision we take lightly but unfortunately we significantly underestimated the number of people entering the venue early on Friday. This combined with the unusually large plots taken by campers means we have simply run out of space including all of our reserve camping fields.

We understand the huge inconvenience this may cause and realize that no apology can in any way make up for this. The small number of advance ticket holders affected by this will, of course, be reimbursed in full. Tickets should be returned to us at the following address.

Santa Pod Raceway, Airfield Rd, Podington, Wellingborough, Northants. NN29 7XA. Telephone queries to (01234) 782828

Once again we are sorry for the disappointment this may cause.

Yeah,

Does that mean they will now be laying some tarmac around the camping areas so people can drive their cars without getting caked in Bananarama! when its wet?

Or

Put in a propper area along the fire up lane to clean said vehicle from said Bananarama! owing to no tarmac instead of being told "Bananarama! off back, you cant come down the strip cos your tires have mud on them???

nearby farmer must have refused to have his oilseed or turnips road rollered this year

i got a text friday afternoon saying no more camping space

day passes only

do not travel

refunds available

we used to arrive evening on the friday (after queueing from the olney -wellinborough road since mid day) and end up camping right up by the gate and i thought that was at the height of VW mania in late 80s early 90s

easy for going home but a right pain if you fancy a pizza or indeed a luxurious poo rather hover 2mm above the chemical pile

doof doof music, blokes in transits who fancied themselves as Pete Tong and burn outs in the camping field 2 foot from yer head was always a problem

no sleep for 48 hours.

don't think i'd enjoy it anymore
