69 charger, what clips do i use on the windshield finishers?

Alex: Clips arrived today, ta! not had chance to try on, not touched car today

Ivor: Tallest clips hold front bottom trim (10 of them) thats about all i can tell u. i misplaced all my clips a while back, so used Datsun ones on my back window

annoying that none of the suppliers of these clips tell you what ones are what.

Thanks Will, I've got a load of clips from the back window mixed in with the fronts too

THe top rail on my untouched donor car had a shallower clip at each end , which wasn't included in the clip kits, here's a pic , although I suspect the ones in the kit could be made to fit

THe rest of the top rail uses the same clips as the side . Total of 8 clips along the top rail , including the odd ones at the ends. Basically , the clips should install butted up against the pinchweld, and the tip of the clip should then fall a short distance inside the roof contour , to allow for the thickness of the trim .

Right , I'm off to Devon to surf till Sunday - have fun with the clips !

oh yes - the clips will be sprung quite tight against the body , which can make installing the trim abdsolutely pant-wetting with all that new paint about . ONce the clips are screwed on you can 'adjust' them away by prising (carefully) with a screwdriver, and then the trim will slip in much more easily.
