NEC Classic Car Show - we want your car!

Post by Ivor »

This year, our stand has been restricted slightly this year, so we are probably looking for three or four cars this year and we need your car!

Don't think it needs to be exotic, or pristine to feature on the stand all we are after is interesting...something a bit different this year.

Yes it could be a Charger, but perhaps a really rare low spec model, or perhaps a little Valiant. Road car, race car, we'll consider anything and may even be able to build a theme for this year!

Sadly we don't have any money, so I'm afraid we can't afford transport for you, we will be asking you to get the car to the NEC on Thursday the 10th November 2011 and to take it off the stand at about 5.30 on Sunday the 13th of November 2011.

If you would like to see your car on the stand, please register your interest below.

There will be no favouritism, the committee will not be open to bribery (unless you can slip the Chairman a pair of Zeeker heads for his stroker!) and everyone will be considered, don't be shy, whatever the car, we are interested to hear from you!

Just to add some positive feedback - I did this last year, and its a really good event. The cars went down really well and were very popular. The show itself is really good for an anorak like me too - some great stuff. Dry too !

I would recommend for anyone to have a go and display their car.

And if you get bored with the show you have Birmingham city center just a short train ride away and these days Birmingham is a great place to visit. :thumbright:

In that case you have seen my car Ade - was parked next to Martins. MOT next week, so then I'll bring it over one lunchtime to prove it now works. :) (although back on old alternator, so may go bang any minute !! )

Not sure Adrian, we're usually in a different spot every year but in the same hall. Ivor may know already?

Thank you chaps, that's a promising start.

So on the list of potentials so far we have Dave's '67 GTX, Ray's race Dart, the twins Sport Satellite and Ade's bike, to save him leaving it in the car park, because it's a bit of a long walk for him to the Hall... ;)

The MMA stand is in Hall 6 and we are right next to the NSRA stand...the Corvette stand is diagonally opposite, so Dave might be coming down as well!

I'm not sure he's a member actually Rob, but he would be able to have a "restified Mopar" stand of his own at the show.
