Apparently once over the finish line the slowing cars drive onto an enormous rubber belt which winds up a giant coil-spring. Then, through a complex fluid clutch system this drives the big wheel. This acts as an enormous flywheel and can run all day long, saving electricity and fully carbon-offsetting the fuel used by the race cars, thereby saving the planetMrNorm wrote:Looks good!
