Close, no cigar.

I think the "Tab" on the top that you have put at the back should go on last in front of the springs.

Bottom spring looks a bit weedy.....

Time for a workshop manual ;)

I think the tab goes on first, as the hole is a large diameter and fits onto a shank.
Petrol is for washing parts, Alcohol is for drinking, Nitro is for racing!!!

And as Pete said that bottom spring doesn't look right.

You could be right, maybe it goes in front of the shoes and behind the springs, but I am sure something is not correct....

Thanks chaps :thumbright:
The eye on the little cable thing could go behind the the sort-of-mushroom-shaped guide for the shoes, but i'm certain the springs are right- they have too small an inner radius to go at the back.
The bottom spring came with the set and there's no left-overs. It certainly fits nicely, it has little kinks to clear the adjuster and feels under nice tension.

I've just found this guide to Ford Ranger brakes- http://zenfixit.com/?p=285 which shows an identical setup to mine, i reckon i got it right :thumbright:
