Hope i'm not teachin you to suck eggs, but afaik:

Buick sold the rights to the engine post design when they decided not to use the 3.5 ltr engine. Rover bought it! So its a rover unit (designed by Buick).

Ahhhhhh i know bits about rover v8s but i didnt realise it was a buick thanks mate learn something everyday :thumbright:

if you fancy a bigger one swap it out for a 4.2 liter version out of a leyland P76

still a rover/buick engine

aussie borgwarner 4 speed bolts up just fine (its like a big fat ford type 9 singlerail but bigger and stronger)
