Was this to do with the Queen honouring the Oz war heroes?

We should've bought the Super Hornet, rather than hang around for the F35 to be nailed together, that way at least we'd have some aircraft for our carriers when they are finally finished

No doubt an "amusing" Harrier formation will appear in this thread at some juncture.

Nothing to do with the Queen, the 4 newest Super Hornets were being delivered from US and it was the Gold Coast 600 SuperCar/Rock bash down Surfers so they flew 16 SHs across Brizzy down the Goldie up the Sunny then picked up the 4 new ones around Moreton and flew back across Brizzy landing back at Amberley where 2 of them done an acrobatic display......Any excuse! 8-) 8-) 8-)

FYI. When you zoom the map. I live near Manly (Wynnum "Wild" West) and I took the pic at the airport, in the Domestic Short Term Car Park (North curved shape part of the Airport.)

Mr R is on 2 strikes, let's hope this ain't his last Harrier Stand!

Kev, you've turned into a proper Oz mate!

...across Brizzy, up the Sunny and down the Goldie...youi couldn't make it up!

And yes, you are right Mister R is on two strikes, next one and it's his trousers down and out with the whippy stick.
