I also found it useful as I was booking hotels to view the price at Expedia.com or lastminute.com and then comparing that to the hotels own price. Saved a packet on a Best Western by paying in $ with my credit card. And saved $200 by pre-paying my hire car through Hertz also on the plastic.

James and Clivey.... You obviously don't have enough work to do during the day! Tsk Tsk! Don't let your boss catch you on the net!!

People dressed as cockroaches, Pah! Whatever next! :D

Dunno if they do it in Florida but if you go out of State, when you gas up look for the discount books, you can get coolrates on motels with the coupons :)

In Orlando there is a Corvette museum, can't remember the name but they have one of each model year in order, now that may not be too interesting to you but they also have some ultra rare muscle as well, CoPo Camaro's, 'Birds, Hemi's etc all mint, cool place.

As Terry says, Garlitts is unmissable and keep an eye out for a short guy with a limp, that is the legend himself and he is cool to approach.

On the road to his place is the NPD main store, can't remember if they do Mopar stuff but the place is HUGE!

NASA on the coast is a great day out,Coco beach is wicked, especially if you like surfing :D

Gotta agree with buy your beer at gas stations. They are way cheaper than liquor stores, and usualy closer as they are every where.Maybe they are all competing. On the way to a drag strip last year a gas station threw in a polysteyrene cool box full of ice for the beer for a couple of$$$s.Had to buy 4 though!!! :drunken:

Discount booklets available at all the gas stations and supermarkets in Orlando area, not only good for accomodation but good discounts on meals as well. As the other guys have said, Don Garlits definetly worth a visit. Shame your not spending some time over Clearwater side as there are several dealers selling high class muscle, a lot of which is Mopar, and all are more than happy for you to walk around viewing the cars.

Last time I tried to find Golden Classics they were no longer at the old premises, so not sure what's happened to them. You can try these though
Pj's Auto World
1370 Cleveland St
Clearwater FL 33755

Classic Corvettes and Collectibles
304 S Pinellas Ave
Tarpon Springs
Florida 34689 WELL WORTH A VISIT

Also if you time it right see if any racing on at Sunshine Dragstrip in clearwater or a better one is Bradenton Raceway just outside Parish.

If you visit the above dealers make sure you keep your credit card locked up tight as you'll be tempted by their stock!!!

Just don't forget the performance parts. My dad went last year and came back with a pair of ally heads as hand luggage and got away with it as well, a holley carb, water pump, pushrods, cam. pitty it was for his stang and not the barracuda.
