Hey PettyBird. You could have washed the bloody car. :D

Got back at 5:30pm tonight. Great day. Club stand looked small but nice. I didn't have time to look around slow enough but there was some lovely stuff on display. I only took a photo now and again but still have 150 of them to sort though.

I did the 450 mile? round trip in the Corvette and love it again. It is such a good car for motorway driving. I used just over a tank of fuel so had to re-fill on the way home.

I even had a nice chat with one of the Corvette club guys. He wants a Charger and loved the look of Del's. :thumbright:

Dave me ol' mate, i did Bananarama! believe it or not! - outside me mums house in Tring 7.00 on Wednesday night in the bloody dark. Left Thursday morning early and the roads were dry till i got to Brum, then my Ram plastered it in Brummy grime! Winco said Del was gonna leather it off later coz i had to get my trailer out of the hall - still - i like the grubby abused race car look!

Great pics by the way, thanks for the links :thumbright:
Some really unusual cars there. Love the polished ally AC, the old skool Fords, the can-openered Aston. The wartime stand looked great too!

I tried to catch the owner of the turbine Rover but couldn't get near him for a couple of old buffers that kept him busy. I think I overheard a women (his wife?) say it was a reproduction.

this took my breath away 8-)

immaculate 1968 Ford Escort ‘Lotus’ Twin Cam, one of 883, dry stored for 25 years, re-commissioned and restored

HOW MUCH??!!

I would like to point out I am not disrespecting the for sale ad, I was just genuinely astonished by the asking price, and I guess disappointed that it’s well out of my league!!
