I have to say a special official thanks to Martin Walker, Don Scott, Derek Carter and Dave Dingley for all their help in making sure that the Mopar Muscle Association was properly represented at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC.

The stand was always busy and and Don's Petty Bird was a real hit, especially with the kids who all wanted to be photographed with "Kingy" from the Cars movie.

We welcomed about 20 odd MMA members over the three days of the show and even allowed Mr Runner onto the stand, but only because he had his minder JC was with him and I didn't want to argue with him! Ade and Budge were on top form...they even bought Martin a pint!

Alex Doig turned up on the Saturday as did Dave, as you have already read, we also spotted a slim looking Dean Inskip as well...

We thought we'd discovered a previously unknown Hemi Daytona in the country when a a guy turned up on the stand and obviously knew what he was talking about saying he had an absolute minter...I didn't recognise him. but it turned out to be Paul Howarth and he was talking about his beautifully built 70 clone, but how many of you knew he has a Super Stock Dart with racing history?

I think I'll have to check out whether or not that's the real deal now! ;)

Overall it was an excellent show, but I felt to be charged eight quid for parking on top of an already high entry fee was too much, though maybe I'm in the minority as the place was packed every day...it seems the old car crew have said sod the recession, we're going to the show...

Thanks again lads and lasses for all your support it was a great show and I'm knackered...

Parking has been £8 for years now.

Because of the number of people in line to get a ticket when I arrived, I decided to pay on my way out instead when I returned to the car later. Always a chance the parking attendant had left for home first.

Then forgot where I had parked it......

Lucky for me I remembered it was "North something" and the Premier Inn was just at the back of where I parked. So i did find it. Eventually. :D

The Parky was still there though as it was only mid-afternoon. So I had to cough up the £8. :(

It was a bit of a shock to be asked for 25 quid and another 8 for the parky, but in all fairness it was a very big show, never got to see half of it cos it would have taken 2 days going round to get it all in.................and what ain't a ripoff these days? Still loved it and seein mates ;) :D

We didnt leave till closing time on the Saturday so it was just after 7 by the time we got back to the car park. But the thieving bar-stewards were still in their kiosk, so we had to stump up the £8 too

First time in a few years tho as the lazy sods have usually shut up shop by then ;)

HOW MUCH??!!

I would like to point out I am not disrespecting the for sale ad, I was just genuinely astonished by the asking price, and I guess disappointed that it’s well out of my league!!

Your right Rich, that car is worth £36k ;)
