Help.....need seat foam

Post by Dino »

I'm having trouble finding seat foams for a pair 1970 B body bucket seats that I bought from Duncan, does anyone know where I could buy them or get them made?

I bought covers from Legendary but they don't sell the foam!

Cheers lads.

These are the same style seats as mine:

Can't help with the foam, but they are probably the best looking Mopar seat I have seen. Material looks luxurious, nice stitching, looks like supple leather . . .

Thanks Si, I'll drop them an email tomorrow. Looks promising though.

They do look the mutts nuts Mark but I had to settle for bog standard black vinyl.

These guys are brilliant, they've done several bike seats, leathers and a major overhaul of my Lancia seats over the years-

http://www.menaiupholstery.co.uk/

Dave's a mate but I've not seen him in a few years now. A visit is long overdue!
They're just down the road so i'll gladly help with delivery.

The Lancia tan vinyl was impossible to find so Dave suggested using brown to match the door panels, then using the tan he removed to patch the side wings, etc. The pic is a year or so after the repair.

2nd pic is lifted from their website

Hi Paul,

I've been put in touch with a local guy who does very similar work:
http://www.springers.biz/index.html

He's asked me to pop the foams down on the weekend and I'm still waiting to hear from PG Classic so I've gone from having no options to 3!

If I don't get any joy I'll take you up on the offer is that's ok? Thanks very much for offering to do it btw, this forum always amazes me at the lengths people go to help others on here. :thumbright: Can't fault you guys at all.

I bought the foam and covers for my 68 Charger from Dante's Parts (Dante DiCarlo, www.dantesparts.com) in the US, which are all manufactured by Legendary Interiors.

When you phone to order, Dante answers the phone himself and is very helpful and knowledgeable. The foam and covers were easy diy fit.

I'm with Nigel on this one, Dante's did a great job on my Road Runner interior, they were helpful, the price was competitive, as was the delivery and everything arrived when promised and it was right.

I'll definitely be using Dante's again. :thumbright:

Thanks Lads,

it's strange that Legendary didn't mention Dante when I enquired about foam replacements, all I had in reply was a 5 word e-mail saying "we don't do the foam" I was quite surprised considering I'd bought the covers from them.

(http://www.puiinteriors.com) A fella named Ron from PUI told me they don't make them but went on to send me a huge email with photo's and pics of alternatives that I could try to modify, really impressed. Wish I'd bought the covers here now.

Thanks again for the suggestions. :thumbright:

I'll let you know how I get on :D
