Manual To Power Brake Convertion

Post by ANTON »

I have been asked by three people who want to convert from manual to power brakes if I can make them the pedal linkage so that it will look stock and work correctly.
Have taken the Dimensions and details from my power brake linkage and produced a cad drawing of what is need to do the conversion.
If there are any more people that want to do this conversion let me know as the more I make a one time the less it will cost per set.

I have attached the drawing showing the power brake linkage and the manual brake linkage so you can see what I will be making. All you will need to get is the the nut and bolts need to bolt it all together.

Once I know how many I need to make I will give you all a cost before I make them so you can decide if you want to go this way.

Very impressive Anton!

As you say it would be good to get a group order on that, perhaps we should put something in the next edition of Connected...let me know and I'll send some details to Simon the Editor.
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

Thanks

Materials per set is about £10 and then the water jetting costs and turning cost I would put each set at around £40 plus postage.
This is a ball park figure but the more that what them means the machining cost will come down bringing the whole cost down.
