Spot on chap

The 1st pic was the original engine, the car is currently running the 'spare' which cost £90k to build from all brand new magnesium & ally castings moulded from the original. This one's 2,600cc (You can only tell from the slightly bigger blower).

Sorry, i forgot to take a good pic of the car, it's the french blue one in the middle of this little lot.
The 1st owner was French but at some point it got sold, stripped & painted maroon. It was later crashed and during the rebuild they found a spot of original blue inside the chassis rail. This led to finding out it was the French one, the paint was matched and sprayed back to original.

Also in this line-up is a breathtakingly rare Bentley, the very first D-type ever made, a Ferrari and some more nearly-as-rare jags

This is 'Old Number 3'
DNF at Le Mans 1930. (The clue is in the rear view mirror- you can just make out the photo on the wall taken at the race!)
Insured for £12M

Ooo you're good you lot

This is pretty much the first Jaguar ever made. It's been restored with new handmade panels, etc.
Based on the Austin 7, the handmade ally bodies were fitted by Swallow Sidecars, formed in 1922 by William Lyons and William Walmsley in Blackpool.
Swallow Sidecars later became Swallow, then S.S. Cars. They went a bit quiet during the war (SS... oops!) Firing up the production lines again in 1945 as Jaguar, using SS as the model designation instead.

Delivered May '63 to Peter Lindner; '63 Nürburgring 1000 kms (Lindner/Nöcker DNF); Avus (Lindner 1st); Goodwood (Lindner/Nöcker DNF); Innsbruck GT (Nöcker 1st); '64 car returned to factory for Malcom Sayer designed low-drag mods, ZF box, 344 bhp engine; Nürburgring 1000 kms (Lindner/Nöcker DNF); works prepared for '64 Le Mans 24 hours (Lindner/Nöcker DNF); Zolder (Nöcker DNF); Goodwood TT crashed in practice by Sutcliffe; Montlhery 1000 kms (Lindner crashed fatally, also killing 3 marshals); very badly damaged it spent 17 years in French custody garaged at the circuit; bought by Harper (? &Renault); sold &rebuilt in '70s by Lynx with fresh original shell &original body kept with package; sold to Rosso Bianco; bought by Peter Neumark (UK); '08 commenced restoration/reunification onto original body.

My mate Dunk looks after this little lot for Peter Neumark. Dunk's sortin out a new prop for me so i went to his and had a guided tour of the collection. Absobloodylutely fantastic to spend a couple of hours in the company of some very special cars
