While clearing out my Mum's loft I've found all sorts of stuff I didn't realise I still had. In 1966 I got my weekly comic and there was an article on Drag Racing, I was instantly hooked and have never forgotten it. Yesterday I found it....

"Look and Learn", crikey Pete that brings back memories, and "Tell Me Why".
Only yesterday I remembered those card sheets that you could buy with scenes printed on them and transfers you rubbed down, what where they called?
Good find John, it's nice to re-discover stuff like that isn't it?

I was an avid reader of "Tell me Why" when I was at Junior school.
In secondary school I used to get "How it Works" and until recently I still had the full 7 bound volumes. But I chucked them out the other week.

I'd have put money on it being Look & Learn, but it wasn't, it was this. I have no recollection of this title at all....

It was a "Monkees" annual that got me first interested in Drag Racing. What really hit it home it was the early Funny Car model kits I used to get sent from my penpal in the USA. Both events were in the 60s.
