Spindles
Quick question, I'm thinking about the brake kit Chris has for sale, my brakes are currently drums, are the spindles different on discs? If so will E body disc spindles fit my B body?
Also the kit is listed as fitting years 70-72 but may fit others, is there any differences between '69 & '70's?
Cheers

I am not aware of any differences - other than sway bar attachments to the LCA which are different between '69 and '70. This means the calipers will foul on one set up if they are forward hung as opposed to reverse hung (which I prefer but you need braided hoses if you go this route over standard rubber piping....)

Yep.Dave wrote:But can't you hang any calipers front or rearward by swapping the parts from side to side?
The issue is the run of the brake hose and the difference between '69 and '70 Anti-sway bar mounting brackets causing interference with the Calipers on lock....

Don't forget there were different eBody disc spindles too depending on year, so you'll need to make sure that whatever spindles you use they work with the discs you have or get.

Yep. You can buy spacers now if you find yourself with mixed parts, but it's better and cheaper to avoid getting to that situationDave wrote:70-72 = small diameter inner bearing.
73-74 - large inner bearing.
