ok, so who's up for this then?.....we gotta have a strong Mopar showing here guys/gals

this is your chance to show what you can do in competition....and maybe win some £££££££££££'s....please list your car model/colour or name with its capabilities so I can make a list of what to keep a special eye out for to keep me interest up while there... ;)
all you have to do is be capable of running 9.99 or quicker in any way you want...slow for a Mopar :D

sorry but I don't know who's who and with what...

My car wont run a 9 and nos doesn't interest me. If they want to get more participants they should have made it 10.99.
The unique thing about drag racing, is that you can do it and enjoy it without competing against others, the fun is making the vehicle go faster and the people you meet whilst doing it.
You go to a serious drag meet and look at the participants, half of them dont look like they're enjoying it.
I raced mx quite seriously for 4 years to reasonable club level, so i know what competition is about.

well fair enough boys, we all have our point of view, but I completely disagree with you, here's a chance to show what you can really do at an event, thats what all the hard graft in getting your car to run the numbers properly is all about ultimately is putting it in competition against fellow racers with cars of similar types and output against the tree and the finish line, thats the exciting bit, thats when the adrenalin starts flowing, its how good you are not just your car, I think some of you may have forgot what Drag Racing is really all about, it started on the street with 2 cars racing against each other to the finish line for pink slips or $$$$....not a timing slip, its who WON
Anyhow, I hope you all have fun with your vehicles in the way you all prefer.
all the best...Les

Fair enough, Les; I will be rooting for you and your car at the event.

I don't even have a car at present.

Will still enjoy the gig, though. :thumbright:

Les
It's using a power adder to achieve the index that disinterests me, not the competing.
Time for you to make a comeback Les, Jon Connolly's Valiant was perfect for you, cheap roller, 2400lbs, stick a reasonable motor in, 9's all day long.
According to the wallace calc, 2400 + 200 lb driver, 530 flywheel hp = 9.90.
