Usually pre 62 they want to see the vehicle, especially if it's a truck

I'm probably wrong but I was led to believe you had to pay a fee for a 'home' visit

There are no longer any "over the counter" registrations issued. All applications go off to a sub contractor to be processed. Should DVLA decide the vehicle needs inspection,they will arrange it.

Just got back from Brighton. All paperwork in order,taken,stamped and paid. It's now off for processing and I should have my V5/tax in 4 days.
