I was going to see if I could beat my lap time to Otterburn and back in the Corvette this weekend but still waiting for a suspension part to arrive.

Had to do gardening instead.

I take the A68 coming back down from Otterburn and it has some real tight bends as well as long Roman built straights that undulate wildly so you get all 4 wheels off the deck if you have the balls to do it blind. I got high tyre pressure warnings the last time from the wheel sensors on landing.

One of these day there will be a bloody tractor the other side of one of the crests I just know it.

It was good to meet you Dunc :thumbright: thanks for the personal delivery service in the Bentley rocket, beats a man in a van leaving notes through your door saying we missed you but will try again tomorrow  :D

The further north you go the better and quieter the roads get too ;) perhaps i should hold some sort of Mopar/classic car get together or swap meet at my farm to incite you and some others across the border for a B road blast :-k after all its only an hour and a half from Carlisle to me and i have plenty of hard standing for a load of cars :)

It's a brilliant place to do some proper riding/driving, I'll never forget a trip from Inverness down to Glasgow on an Aprillia RSV, still get a stiffy just thinkin about it ;)

That SS is made for fast A roads like that, perfect weight dist and traction to keep it pinned where lighter cars just flap about............along with their pilots

Scottish and Welsh roads are both fantastic.
I'd go as far to say probably the best in the UK.

Not sure if its the constant rain or snow in winter but they seem to get resurfaced more frequently and with better quality Tarmac.

Nothing like cruizing at warp factor 8 or 9 on the flat smooth black top.

I like the brown aero part you've fitted to the front Dunc. Must be good for an extra 10bhp......... ;)

I went to Edinburgh to pick up the 72 Roadrunner had a night out in there and drove it back the next day.Went to Sandys in Glasgow for the 69 Fairlane and drove that home.
