Dave 999 knows all about this. Super rare in Aus as well, but some things are not right , the stripes I think.

Yeah this is the fella trigger andy visited think he is in is mid 70s

worked in Oz purchased 2 sports man chargers might have brought one back and then got the urge for another

sold one which had the right exterior but wrong interior

this is i guess the better proposition but he changed the paint

had it up on aussie ebay for lots of cash

must not have sold

its supposed to look like this (see below)

interior is rare and expensive to replace

strange red white paint and a silver spinstripe between the colours

odd roof treatement makes it look kinda soft top

rare car

this one has

770 E55 340 dress up package stripe across top of rear window

RT stripe to front and rear
blacked out RT style Tail and and VH style rear lights

as the sportsman package was a trim paint and decal package to get rid of VJ chargers before VK came out they are rare

there is even talk of the sportsman look putting off potential buyers and some of them being resparyed standard direct over the top of the red/white...

anyway

the reserve would be higher than 5K i can tell you that

Andy felt both cars he saw when he visited bert were good solid buys he just didn't have that kinda cash....

looks like a good car

and i think only in the country 10-15 years max and garaged

see also white knight special for other oddities think it was the run out VK model its rare as well

I bet he wished he'd painted it in the correct colour scheme...a car as rare as that really should be maintained in its original spec.
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

I think the red/white treatment really works for it. Makes the car look more sleek.
