Starting up my own business.

Post by Jem »

After more than 30 years in the advertising game I've decided that I've had enough and I've started up my own business doing what I enjoy more than anything else.................and that's restoring things.

I've been doing it in my spare time for a couple of years now, for no other reason than I just love doing it. Some of you may remember me converting a knackered 1930s pinball machine into a coffee table??

I happened to show a picture of it to one of the guys I used to work with and he almost begged me to sell it to him.....which got me thinking that I could possibly make a living out of it.

Well I've got another six machines that need the same treatment along with a considerable amount of other items that are all waiting to be restored.

I'll be restoring and selling items that could almost be termed 'Unique'. This is a typical example - an early 1950's fairground rocket which is progressing slowly but well. I'll post more pictures of the resto as it progresses.

I saw some of your next projects at Ron's the other week - glad you didnt ask me to squeeze them in the car too!

Might see at the MMA meets a bit more now, if you're not spending 1/2 your day commuting?
