Problably from an Italian sports car a lot like the Faiat X/19 seats but they do not have the bertone logo on the high back.

You've got a real eye and feel for this work Jem, like that Super Soaker you painted and your Belvedere.

Cheers mate
I had so much fun doing the Soaker that I thought I'd experiment with the rust paint a little further.
Alien is my favourite film so I bought a model of the Space Jockey and had a go at that. Took me a couple of months as it's pretty big (18 inches wide) but I'm pleased with the results. My camera is pretty rubbish so the flash has bleached the pics - it's nowhere near as 'orangy' as it looks.
Once the rust had cured, I sprayed it every day for a week with a very heavy saline solution and let the salt crystals build up. Looks very effective but lost in the pictures unfortunately.

You buy an X/19 store it away and when you go back to it only the seats are left! the rest of the car has rotted away!
you good at rust be nice to see you paint a model of an X/19 rusty.

Managed to score four 'Space Ships' that were once on Blackpool Pleasure Beach. One of them has had to give up it's ray guns for the rocket.
Here's the before and after pics.
