Guess what my car does to the gallon.

Post by Mick70RR »

Filled the car up last week and checked the mileage. Done the same tonight and worked out the mpg. First time I've done this in 7 years.
Cruised down to Shakey's and back last Saturday, no racing, and the rest was to and from work or the shops.
1970 Road Runner, 505CI, 4 speed, GV overdrive, 3.91 gears.
11.98 @ 117mph on street tyres

Well done Mark, 9mpg.

About what I expected. My old 383 Coronet did the same so this engine is doing well.

Those of you that think you can get 20mpg out of these cars and be able to drive them are dreaming. :D
