Dog Insurance - Now with picture of Guinness
Ok, we may have a new member of the family next week. A two and half year old Labarador called Guinness from the Dogs Trust
My mind has gone numb looking at insurance for him, we need it as we dont have the money reserves if something happens
We hear all sorts of good and bad about various companies
Can I ask what experiance peeps have had and who they would reccommend?
BTW Guinness is jet black, just what Vader needs to dominate the world !!

Insurance for 2 Schnausers would of been £40 a month. One of them is now 13, his twin sister other passed away almost 2 years ago. If I take £40 a month over 11 years for the pair & 2 years for one, it equates to £ 6,240.
Vet bills, burial, etc for when she was Ill, came to approx £2,500.
Newest dog Senna has now been with us for nearly 18 months, he had free insurance for 3 months, which was provided by the breeder. Pet insurance to renew would of been £38 a month.
£6,240 +£456 = £6,696, less the £2,500 = £4,196, that's excluding any interest over the last 11 years . . . .
So for us, it works out better to put money aside, than pet insurance. That being said, we are good at not touching & leaving it there for when needed

We have been having this same dilemma - to insure or not with Amber (2 year old working cocker spaniel). Think we will go the insure route - we are no good at all at "not touching & leaving it there for when needed". As hopefully puppies will be on the way in a few months, I wondered if anyone knew if any of them covered this.
Also, Morgan, who paid out OK in your case?....cheers.
