Hi John S

Yep i feel she will do, Must be a midlife crisis im going thro lol. I wanted her to have a modern look but still be a 68 car. I love Chip Foose and boyds cars, awesome headturners. The paint job was not cheap, I thought about just getting her black again, but that would be a bit run of the mill for me, I wanted a charger that was unique so to speak. As i said previous the purists wont like what ive done, but to be honest she was originally a 318 not a 440 so bang goes originality from first base.
Im still waiting on my Bauer front brake kit cost a nice £1600, but has 13in vented disks and massive calipers. Ive kept drums at the back as it was going to be a major ballache price wise and for all the performance difference they would have made anyway, however they will be cleaned and painted as well. Im looking forward to getting her entered in a custom car class hopefully this year.
She should be painted next week and as soon as i have more piccies they will be posted up,

thanks guys for your interest

That really does look the part. I'm sure Jack has a Hot Wheels Charger in similar colours.
Great stuff, just needs the wheels.

Lookin different, i am still blown away that someone would pay that top dollar for that car............ then have a full tilt paintjob, people that saw that car in black were always sold on it because of the paint,

Hi Lads

Thanks for some of the comments. Cannonball, the paint was ok originally, but had signs of blistering and fish eyes on her, and i had the cash to do so, so wanted a new paint job with a difference. With regards to latil's comment, theres always someone to Bananarama! in someones puddle, whatever. When i buy a car i like to personalise it, its what ive done in the past and will continue to do so. As ive said , it wont be to everyones taste, but life would be boring if we were all the same. 8-)

cheers

Rene :)

Well I think it looks stunning and, as you say, it is not going to be "just another Charger". It will be instantly identifiable as yours and in the true spirit of Hot Rodding and Custom Cars. :thumbright:

So long you're sure there's no rot around any of the trim clips/screws and around the glass mounting area then all should be good.Notorious Mopar rot areas. Not knocking the finished job, looks great :thumbright:

Hi Latil

Yes there was rot around the drivers window, hence they were removed and i bought new trims as well. I trust Gary my painter, he is very very exacting and i take his word that if some didnt need removed then so be it.

I took a chance with the colour combo, when the chrome is on her etc she will look bling a ding lol,

all the best

Rene :)
