The weather obviously put a lot of people off, but, Saturday was dry until the evening. Mick was there with Dart ( JohnS ably supporting) and I took the Satellite. Mick ran a 10.2, whilst, my dragstrip virgin status finally got broken.
Fortunately, the car didn't ( not enough power !) and after replacing the street tyres with slicks got a 13.9 @ 95mph - anyway it was great to have a go at last, now for the search for more power.
Nigel arrived Sunday with the Junkyard Dodge, but a couple of heavy rain showers stopped racing until around 3pm , by which time, most had left for home. Mick got a few more runs in. Dave Hoare and mate were spectating, getting wet etc.
Reports of Friday night's gig by Jim's band were excellent and having watched the promo video I can believe it - back on at The Hot Rod Drags in September.
Might find time for more fotos later in week.
Cheers
Chris

Wondered who the Satellite belonged to. :thumbright:
Saturday was very quiet, but still managed to burn my neck even though the wind made it a bit chilly.
