England

Post by starsk's »

Sorry but I am watching England play and all I have heard is excuses for Rooney !!! I'm not paid a 10th of what he is and I go to morroco on holiday for 2 weeks in July which I have saved hard to do! I just heard commentators saying Rooney is making mistakes because he is RUSTY well excuse me if your relative dies because when I get back from my holiday I'm RUSTY !! He And the team are playing for our country and I support them but I do expect some effort considering the amount they are paid !!!
Would you guys be excused if you made mistakes even not life saving because your RUSTY !!! I think not !

Was at tierp Sweden last weekend crewing for dave Wilson with his top methanol dragster. We thought we would watch the footie, not good when England score first and three of us jump up and you notice that the other 400 people stay sitting down. We also ran a PB of 5.26@270mph.

Suppose Im lucky really, I like watching most sports, lovin the Euro footie but just wish the players had the same attitude as the rugby players.... Just get on with it instead of diving etc.... Olympics will be good, Tour de France should be great with Wiggins and Cavendish on form, F1 good at mo, Wimbledon soon.... I love it! Good job we are all different eh... Just a pity most sport is expensive to watch. I occasionally take my lad to the football. Not bothered who is playing, we just get the cheap dads n lads tickets when we can and head off for a pie and a pint. Good little afternoon out. Would like to start going to the speedway but expensive. Another good one is ice hockey, our local team plays at home twice a month and its only a fiver for a couple of hours fun away from the computer games!! :thumbright:
