Yeah. Which despite their photos of puddles is strange to me.
Corbridge didn't get hit by the massive rainfall we had in Newcastle and parts of Northumberland.
My street was flooded Thursday night. Three houses opposite me were flooded. Both my gardens were under water. My sewer cover pushed off and flooded my back garden with dirty water and toilet paper.
But despite the occasional heavy shower today i have completely cleaned up and cut the grass, trimmed the hedges etc. The ground is firm.
The forecast for tomorrow is quite good too.
I think the MG owners just don't have any backbone.
I am going for a drive out to Hartside Cafe up the A686 tomorrow. Anyone fancy coming?

One of the top ten drives in the world or so they say, my favoriteDave wrote:I am going for a drive out to Hartside Cafe up the A686 tomorrow. Anyone fancy coming?
did this run last year in that red cobra you were looking @ the other night
but best memories are been on my ducati 916 with another 20+ fast bikes (not that many came back) up to the cafe, down to devil bridge & into the lake district, good but proper dangerous
but these days 'her in doors' will have my wheel clamp on & will probably be @ the shops

life is not a spectator sport

Had a great run out.
Me and Dave Turnbull in our two C5 Corvettes. Canny drive up to Hartside. Just a little light rain now and again on the way up. Thick cloud near the top and at the Cafe. You can see for 60 miles they say. We couldn't hardly see a car length.
In fact I almost drove past the place in the fog.
Canny fry-up in the Cafe. I got a seat with my back to the log fire. Lovely.
Went down the far side to the M6. Only went down a couple of hundred feet and we were below cloud again and the weather was great the rest of the trip. We went up the M6 to the A69 and came back that way.
Cost me a half tank of fuel.
Car needs a wash now.
