Darren, to give you an idea.. I had a stock 440 with 6-pak rods, stock compression at around 10.3:1.....906 heads ported by Hauser with 2.14" inlet and 1.81" exhaust valves, a Comp Cams .650" solid cam, an 850 carb in the '69 Cuda weighing approx 3200lbs with me in it and it went 10.7 in the quarter on motor with 4.88 gears and Race 727 auto.

You should be able to do similar with less cam and gears.

nah mate, you'll get used it, just take it easy for the 1st passes down the track, make sure the car goes straight before you use all the power, use your head, and ease in to it, you'll be fine, and be careful on the street with it..there'll be upwards of 500hp on tap in quite a light car........Les

well i always thought that a bodies were the racers choice because they are light to start with, now i would imagine you chased the best possible et and weight = performance for free
bri,s cuda weighs 2800 and that is backhalved but all the tinwork in steel wheel tubs rear floors etc not ally so has a heavy arse also its running a dry sump setup with loads of braided lines and his engine sump alone weighs 2 stone so his is heavy for what it is his gutted out 68 charger was 2920 so i would figure a dart/barracuda to be circa 2700-2800
