Another Nats no-show..........

Post by Pete »

Roydon and I were hoping to debut the '68 Barracuda fastback at the Nats this year.

We have pretty much been working all hours to get it ready, but it has been fighting us all the way.............we have overcome so much with help from many people behind the scenes. However it became increasingly unlikely that it would be track-ready with any level of confidence.

We got to the point where we hoped to take it as a static display with the engine running for a bit of a laugh.

The final nail in the coffin was when a torque convertor bolt stripped at around midnight........some things are just meant not to be.

We will now take our time and hope to get it out for the Hot Rod drags.

Another year at the Nats as a spectator....

I will put some pictures up in due course..............

If you've got nowt to do Pete you can help me wash the Corvette. :D

Seriously though, I remember well the frustration of trying to get a car ready for the Nats and falling short at the last minute.
There's nowt more frustrating when you have put so much hard work and long hours in for nothing.

Perhaps Pete, for the first time in donkey's years you may actually be able to relax and enjoy yourself...perhaps have a little polishing session in the show and shine! ;) :-#

Two or three years ago, i was struggling to get mine done because something didn't turn up from the states, so i came carless and still had a great time, then went to the HRD's and ran my first 10.
