Top weekend as ever, real nice to put some faces to names

I know V8Sam had a wicked time and he couldnt believe that we were all such a nice bunch...dunno why.

Each time I go i get more fired up to finish my Dart, so next year I promise it will be there....probably

Strokerblue Simon had a great time and I suspect we will return with a car sooner or later (despite his hot rod yearnings)

Thanks to all organisers and event staff.....can we have a Playboy Channel girl manning the MMA stand next year...it may get some more members.....hang on....why not get them on the NEC show stand in November....I can help....cant I?

Was our first time at the Nats today. Was going Saturday but Mel was busy in the morning so postponed until Sunday and we ended up leaving later than we would have on Saturday so we didn't see any racing at all.

On the plus side we met up with Dunc and picked up some parts for the Charger so it was still worth the trip.

Will try again next year and get there early.

Completley knackered. Started to drive home , hadn't even got out of the Pod & right when it was pi**ing down the drivers wiper arm fell off . Drove the next 2 hrs in heavy rain in the middle lane following the lights of the car in front got onto the m56 for the last 1.5 hrs of the trip & the sun came back out . Still the best gig of the year. Will post again after I've had a kip.

and yes, i had a blinding time! fantastic meeting you lot, even if i was swaying a bit.

im not a shy person so I like to get stuck right in, jumping in feet first, normally car shows/event i have been to before, you get the people who hardly like you looking at the car let alone getting up close.

felt nothing like this at the nats, infact, pretty much being told to have a proper look. making it all the more enjoyable being able to get my hands dirty, and have a proper chat about proper cars!

what a great time as ever,,thanks go to the euronats boys and martin and ivor for their dedication...
me n budge got there at 3.30 thurs afternoon and had a good gas at the gate bash after a nice meal down the local (cheers mart) thanks to budge & my bro, phil 442... great as ever to chat with ade w,andy rob,guy,the brothers,philth,jem,blue dave 999 etc and to have the obligatory brum/surrey late night parties.. went to bed at 2-4&3 respectively
What i did think was particulally good this year was giving the racers that showed up from the ranks of pro et, super gas, street eliminator and even a pro mod etc a session of bracket racing and a quick 32 to have a go at,, i think it will encourage them and more to come along next year. while we all love muscle cars on the strip, i think every one will agree it was good to see some extra action,, not to mention the top fueller and top fuel funny car demos.. i reckon more people will atttend big events having had a taste of what happens at the main event/world finals etc...
saturday seemed to be a very busy day,the numbers must have been good through the gate..
one last thanx to dave billy and his mob for having the sense to get involved with playboy and getting them and their girls along,, love scotts car

Well Done Roger for Best in Show...it only took ten years but thanks to a bit of a push from MMA members including Anton and Derek, the car made it and it looked absolutely stunning.

And talking of Anton, he won the MMA Award and in traditional MMA skinflint fashion, he will have to continue the tradition and get it engraved himself!

Extra special thanks to Martin for all his help with the MMA stuff and for Matt and Mandie for helping out on the stand as well...including trying to save all the stock from blowing away and getting soaked while Bishop helped stop the marquee from being whipped up and dumped in the next county during the storm that whipped up right in the middle of the prize giving.

Thanks to Jim, Richard, Tim and Tony, the Euronats team for the best muscle car event ever and great to see the Mustang boys providing a growing level of support for this superb event...oh, and the Pontaic boys, the Buicks and Chevy guys and the Oldmobiles and...I could go on...

I had a great time

good to see all the usual faces

and a few new ones


racing..well i queued....... and got in 4 or so runs

started off slow

got slower
then got the same 16.6 as last year

gave me ample time to wave and read the signage as per usual

my worst run was filmed from inisde the car.......aaaaahhhhhh
keep an eye out for a How not to do drag racing feature in future

great to see (hear) some interesting machinery, something made my trousers and brain vibrate..... and you can't complain about the time it takes to clear up after an accident..but the number of times i'm sitting watching yet another car bike or whatever go right on passed the queue...it was a little frustrating

had a cracking race aginst cav.... so my hemi 6 can keep up with a 360 yeeeehaaa

new carbs have changed torque delivery and now all i do is burn 1 tyre

basicaly highlighted that

the car needs the rear spring eye bushes done....the creaking noise was most alarming

i need a sure grip....

it also started pulling to the right....

front end appears to have 5 degress negative camber and toe out of of similar...what happend there i don't know.....was ok last year after the fruit stall incident nothing hanging off but somethbing has twised or loosend

front tyres scrubbed down past illegal on the inner edges.....

made the drive home in the wet most interesting

oh yeah the windscreen wipers are now stuck ON all the time....

so i had a great time

think the car has had enough

They were a bit after my time, but it was great to fly up and down the pits on a bit of British retro...quick shifting the Sturmey Archer. lifting the front wheel, laying rubber...oooh, you can't beat it.

Thanks to all who made it another brilliant weekend

Racing on friday and Saturday spot on , was it me or was there an issue with the track about 3/4 of the way down stand side ,saw a few getting out of shape there.

Thursday night another fun evening, seems more and more are getting into the spirit of things earlier each year.Really good to have catch with people I only get to see once or twice a year , so great to have a cold beer but into my hand as was getting out of the car ,thanks Andy.

Totally knackered by the Sunday,shame about the weather at the end ,to all those who made it what it is thanks again........

Can any of you guys tell me what the grey primered Plymouth was up near the dodgems and maybe a pic or to ,now would love to do something with that .....cool fins and a bad attitude .

Just got back-absolutely knackered.
What a great weekend only spoiled by a bit of rain.
It's a great credit to all involved in organising it.
Thankyou to everyone who complimented me on the dart,
Well chuffed.
Managed to get down to 14.1 which was 1/2 a second better than last year.
made the last 7 weeks work worth it,
