American Air Day at Duxford 17th Aug FREE ENTRY!!!

Post by Adrian Worman »

I just got of the phone with a really nice bloke from the Imperial War Museum at Duxford and he offered us free admission to this years event :thumbright:
I have to give him a reasonably accurate number of cars we can exhibit so that he can get the relevant number of passes out in the post to me. The passes allow 2 per car maximum.
This was excellent last year and for those not able to make the Spitfire Day that just happened this is a fantastic opportunity.
The only stipulations for exhibitors is that we should be in place on the display area by 9.30am and may have to stay in place till 6pm, although like last year they play it by ear on the day so we can get off a bit earlier.
This is only because the display area is packed with visitors and US personnel all day and there is a safety issue. Fair request considering what they've offered I'm sure you'll all agree?
Friday the 17th August......... but I can't book the sun.......
So who's up for it then ???

Straight through and out the other side to Anglsey. Did it last year but took 14 hours from leaving Bedfordshire as most of it was spent hopping from one AA truck to the next  So fingers crossed this time  Not in the Demon I might add

Having a drive over to Anglsey later on in the Charger. Not far from where I live. Are you going there for a holiday?

Dont worry I'll keep a few spares and wait at the gate if it all goes tits up ;)
Got about 6 cars goin from my land and I know Pete and Jon are up for it, anybody else interested in this excellent and FREE event please contact me and let me know.
Be nice if we could put up a good show after the support they've just shown us :D
